The Few. The Proud.
The Core Values
Every Marine Officer, upon receiving a commission or promotion, will recite the Oath of Office:
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will
bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without
any mental reservation or purpose or evasion; that I will well and faithfully discharge
the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.
Marine Corps Officers live by the Core Values of Honor, Courage and Commitment.
- Honor: Integrity, responsibility, and accountability
Courage: Do the right thing, in the right way, for the right reasons
Commitment: Devotion to the Marine Corps and my fellow Marines
